National Research Council of Canada - Access National Code's For Free
NRC is the developer of the National Models Construction Code's for Canada. These codes are not law initially but are the basis of all Building Codes regulated throughout Canada.
Nation Fire Protection Association
The NFPA is a global nonprofit organization established in 1896, and devoted to eliminating death, injury, property and economic loss due to fire, electrical and related hazards. Many NFPA standards are directly referenced in the National Building and Fire Code of Canada. NFPA has a free online viewer of any standard it produces.
Canadian Construction Materials Centre
The Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC), which operates within the National Research Council of Canada, offers a national evaluation service for all types of innovative building construction materials, products, systems and services.
Saskatchewan Building Officials Association
This association is the provincial body for Building Officials throughout Saskatchewan. Building Officials are building code professionals who provide enforcement and administrative services for governments (typically municipalities) related to building permits for new construction, additions, repairs, renovations, etc. to residential, commercial, and all types of buildings.
Building Standards Legislation
This legislation has been brought into law by the Province of Saskatchewan. Within this legislation outlines the Building Code Standards, Accessibility Standards and any additional standards that construction projects throughout the province must follow. These standards must be adhered to regardless of whether or not the local authority has a Building Bylaw.
Gov of SK, Building Standards Unit Advisories
These advisories are developed by the staff at the Building Standards and Licencing Branch of the government. The publications are an opinion of interpretation from the governments staff but have not been vetted by the appeals board or other agencies.

The Saskatoon and Region Home Builders’ Association is the voice of the residential construction industry in Saskatoon and area. We represent our members who include new home builders, renovators, land developers, trade contractors, product and material manufacturers, building product suppliers, lending institutions, insurance providers, and other service professionals.
Regina & Region Home Builders Association
The Regina & Region Home Builders’ Association represents over 270 businesses in the Residential Construction Industry in Regina and surrounding area. Our membership includes Community Developers, Home Builders, Trade Contractors, Renovators, Service & Supply Companies, and other Professionals.
Canadian Wood Council
The Mission of the Council is to expand market access and increase demand for Canadian wood products through excellence in codes, standards, regulations and education. The Council produces technical information about wood products and communicates it to the construction and academic communities to ensure knowledge is transferred and target audiences are educated about wood as a superior building product.
